New Mortal Kombat All But Confirmed
By this point it only seems inevitable that the upcoming Tuesday’s announcement, that Ed Boon has been teasing, is going to be a sequel to 2011′s hit Mortal Kombat reboot. News about a new game has been leaking for the past month. Yesterday the Twitter account for @AllGamesBeta leaked what seems to be the promo poster for the next Mortal Kombat game.

Immediately afterwards Warner Bros. tried to play catch up by updating the profile picture to their Facebook page, along with their cover photo asking the simple question “Who’s next?”, along with a modified black and white Mortal Kombat logo.
While Mortal Kombat creative director Ed Boon has teased that there will be an announcement on June 2nd it’s now pretty safe to assume we will be getting another Mortal Kombat game. Now fans are beginning to question what exactly this catch line means. Many fans are hoping for a crossover game, a possible MK vs Injustice: Gods Among Us - Playstation 3 while others are holding out hope for a Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter game.
The more likely answer is that the caption is referring to the ending of 2011′s Mortal Kombat. *Spoiler Warning* The ending of story mode left almost every character dead. The most predominate survivors were Raiden, Johnny Cage, and Sonya. This even left main characters like Liu Kang and Sub Zero dead. The skulls in the promotional poster seem to imply that the deaths are going to keep stacking up in the next version.
Another question that many fans are dying to know is whether or not the new Mortal Kombat will be a PS4 and XboxOne exclusive. Fans are holding out that it will be designed for next gen game systems. It probably won’t be until E3 that we get all the answers, and even some hands on with the new game. Until then fans will be eagerly watching Ed Boon’s Twitter account for his Tuesday announcement.
