I know that feeling that you get when you get let down. Such a terrible feeling in the pit of your stomach, especially when it’s something you care so much about. That feeling of just lying in bed all day in a cocoon of blankets letting the depression sweep over you until you piss tears. That is the feeling I get when I read news about the tug-of-war that is the Deadpool movie. Ever since I started reading the Cable and Deadpool series, (which by the way…if you haven’t it’s a major recommend) I’ve imagined a world with a live action Deadpool movie.

After the movie release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, there had been “rumors” floating around that there is a Deadpool movie. Fast forward now with a script now being made and a fight to get an R-rating for the movie then add in the heart-break of Ryan Reynolds not being with the movie equals to punching walls and monkey screeches.

At this point, just give me something. A trailer. A teaser trailer. I’ll take a teaser trailer! The kind where it is just a black screen and ominous music following by a shadowed shape that spins around showing the Deadpool logo then fades out into big letters, “DEADPOOL”. No date. Just that little 5-10 second clip. Something that could be made in like 5 minutes just to fill time at a Comic-con panel. That could make me happy…just for a little while until the prozac wears out. Life has become a tad bit better in the past day though, with the leaked copy of Deadpool test footage.

It fills that teaser trailer-less void that FOX dug out of my heart. A brief CGI video showing test footage of what appears (or in this case would have been) part of the long-awaited Deadpool movie. It is even voiced by Ryan Reynolds, giving us a taste of his Deadpool. The Merc with a Mouth will continue reign as one of my top favorite comic characters and hopefully they do him right by giving us a movie. At least for now just go get some comics or buy the Deadpool game, because in retrospect, the Deadpool game is basically a 6 hour movie.
