Although Nerdiots.com has not posted about this, technically I don’t want to call this an ‘update’. But with the news around the Sailor Moon remake being delayed, now with a rumored release date being set for this month(January).

The remake is set to release world wide simultaneously. Originally it was set to be available only through Niconico, a Japanese streaming video service. Cartoon Network is going to be picking up the remake as well for US viewers. There are multiple rumors around the web stating that “the remake has been delayed indefinitely”.

A few facts about the new anime:

As of right now, there is no cast listing, according to IMDB.com

The opening and closing songs will be performed by Momoiro Clover Z, a J-pop band created in 2008.

For any fans of the anime from 20 years ago, I think this is going to be a huge hit, hopefully bringing back the original series to Toonami on Cartoon Network. It’s scheduled to be released this month but only time will tell!
