Just a short little entry as to what I think about the current state of the Xbox One

Honestly, I feel this system could have done a little better as far as performance goes. Compared to a PC gaming system, the Xbox One is a little lacking. However, it’s not all negative, DVD/Blu-Ray player is nice. What else does the Xbox One have going for it?

• 8 GB DDR3 RAM
• USB 3.0
• 8 Core CPU
• 8 GB flash memory
• 500 GB Hard Drive

The specs are actually pretty good. The only problem I see is with the Hard Drive, which is stated to be “Non replaceable”. This means that after you’ve filled up your 500 gigger, you’ll be left with no choice but to run out and buy some sort of external storage alternative. Filling up your HD may take some time with storage in the cloud and such a large capacity hd as it is.

Having a few minutes alone with an Xbox One, the gaming seemed smooth. Graphics are no better than the 360 currently, this will come with time as developers create games that can live up to the systems capabilities.

Upcoming games? This is where I’m interested.. Dead Rising 3 will have it’s first DLC set to come out January 21st.  A few other titles I’m looking forward to:

• Fable Legends
• Quantum Break
• Titan Fall

Fable Legends will hopefully bring the Fable games back up to par with the original Fable, I’m looking very much forward to this game.
