Robert Dwayne “Bobby” Womack passed away on June 27th, 2014 from un-announced causes, however according to wikipedia Bobby Womack suffered from diabetes, prostate cancer, heart disease, colon cancer, pneumonia and Alzheimer’s. Not only that be he was a pretty open drug abuser in the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s.

So, why write about him? Well, I can’t say that I know much about him, however I did listen to my grand parents takl about him quite often as well The Valentinos which he was a part of. The Valentinos were actually Bobby’s brothers and were often called The Womack Brothers.

As far as the music that came from them during that period of time, I couldn’t name a single song. Just being honest =)

So for those out there who were huge fans, I’m sorry for your loss in the music world, I’m sure it’s a huge impact on those who knew his music and followed him.
