The staff here at Nerdiots have made no secret of our disdain for the new Ninja Turtle designs (1, 2, 3, 4). We’ve also expressed our concerns about everything else that has come down the pipeline from this Michael Bay production of our iconic and beloved heroes in a half shell.  We’ve been following the progress of the new movie with much anticipation and dread (Remember the rumors of “Outer Space Ninja Turtles”?)  But today we are going to be optimistic about the new promotional material, after all Jonathan Liebesman has directed a few somewhat successful movies (Wrath of the Titans, Battle: Los Angeles, Darkness Falls). So in an effort to appease the whining world wide cry of a billion fanboys Paramount Pictures have released four new posters along with a new trailer. You also get to see some more footage of the new Silver Samurai Shredder that we showed you a few weeks ago.  Also this trailer has Whoopi Goldberg. Overall I don’t really hate the new designs.  The turtles’ bodies and movements look great.  Just those faces.  What happened to the days of the beaks?  Or the days of ninja turtles riding regular skateboards?
